The Northern California First Aid / CPR / AED course covers basic first aid training, the use of automated external defibrillators (AED's) and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To successfully complete this course, participants will perform adult CPR, use the AED in four scenarios, perform a patient assessment, perform bleeding control, splinting, bandaging, and score 85% or better on two written exams. Course completion cards valid for two years will be issued after successful completion of this course. This course is conducted using the latest guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association.
