Risk & Safety Consultant
Job Description:
The Risk & Safety Consultant will perform a variety of professional level duties involved in the development, organization, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of the City’s risk & safety management programs, including training and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have a passion and interest in Risk & Safety as a profession, have strong writing and interpersonal communication skills, proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products, and advanced knowledge of both Federal and State occupational health and safety laws and regulations for high-hazards industries and some experience of construction safety regulations.

Global Environmental Network is growing rapidly and expanding. We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Environmental Health and Safety Instructors. The instructor(s) will be responsible to ensure the highest standards of training, which corresponds with Global Environmental Network’s requirements and delivered through the professional design and delivery of GENI courses, which encourage and stimulate the learning process in order to develop job competency. The Instructor(s) will identify course aims and objectives and deliver an effective training program using GENI’s best practice methodology. They will also provide training and assist in the development of lesson plans and handouts with a view to encourage and stimulate the learning process of students.

work environment. Our Santa Ana Corporate Office is seeking an individual that has one of the following registrations or
certifications: CA Registered Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist (PG); and certifications in either Certified
Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) or a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).
In addition, ideal candidate will be a Qualified SWPPP Developer (QSD). This individual will need to be qualified to manage storm water pollution prevention planning (SWPPP) projects throughout California and associated construction support activities that include, but not limited to, preparing and implementing Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, dewatering plans and permits, and preparing spill prevention and hazardous material management plans. In addition, the suitable candidate will be proficient in environmental regulations to effectively plan, organize, and administer the management and inspection activities of the Storm Water Program in compliance with the 2009-0009 DWQ Construction General Permit. Candidate will possess knowledge of NEPA and CEQA and have a background in HAZWOPER. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing a staff and growing a staff of field engineers; client retention and program growth; and supporting Upper Management Meetings and goals.

This is an entry level Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) position. The candidate will be required to prepare Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans associated with NPDES and Health & Safety Compliance Plans associated with Cal/OSHA. The selected individual will assist with writing storm water plans, annual reports, Notices of Termination (NOTs), dewatering plans, and related documents for compliance with Storm water regulations, particularly the California Construction General Permit (CGP). The SWPPP Writer is responsible for conducting initial site assessments, designing Best Management Practices (BMPs), and developing SWPPP documents and drawings. A portion of this position will require time in the field at project sites.

Stormwater Inspector
Job Description:
Global Environmental Network, Inc. is seeking a self motivated, enthusiastic individual for a Storm Water Inspector position. The selected individual will assist with inspecting construction project(s) and industrial facilities for compliance with Storm water regulations, particularly the California Construction General Permit. The Storm Water Inspector is responsible for ensuring site compliance with all applicable NPDES General Permits, the project’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Water Pollution Control Diagrams (WPCD) and any other applicable requirements (e.g. Dewatering Permits, etc.). This is a field position requiring the majority of the work hours to be spent in the field at project sites.
